Daniel

Daniel served in the courts of Babylon yet kept faith with the God of Israel, refusing to abandon his daily prayers even under threat of death. Cast into the lions' den, he was preserved unharmed. His visions of God's coming kingdom shaped Jewish and Christian hope.
