Joseph of Arimathea
Joseph of Arimathea was a respected member of the council who had become a disciple of Jesus, though quietly out of fear. After the crucifixion he went boldly to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus. He wrapped it in clean linen and laid it in his own new tomb.
