Paul
Paul, born Saul of Tarsus, was a devout Pharisee who at first persecuted the followers of Jesus. On the road to Damascus he encountered the risen Christ and was transformed into a tireless missionary. Known as the Apostle to the Gentiles, he carried the Gospel across the Roman world and wrote many of the New Testament letters.
