Act of Spiritual Communion
The Act of Spiritual Communion is a prayer of longing for Jesus in the Eucharist when receiving him sacramentally is not possible. The believer invites Christ into the heart, desiring union with him even from afar. Cherished by the sick, the homebound, and those at a distance from the sacraments, it keeps the desire for the Lord alive and warm.
