Transubstantiation
Transubstantiation names the mystery by which the bread and wine truly become the body and blood of Christ in the Eucharist, while their appearances remain. It expresses the Church's faith in the real presence of Jesus given to us as food. This theme draws us to wonder and adoration before so great a gift.
