Authority in Scripture flows from God, who alone holds true power over creation, and is shared with those he sends. Jesus taught and healed with an authority that astonished the crowds, revealing that real power serves rather than dominates. This theme calls us to recognize Christ's lordship and to exercise any authority we hold as loving service.
