John
John, the brother of James and son of Zebedee, is often called the beloved disciple. He was among the inner circle of apostles and stood at the foot of the cross, where Jesus entrusted his mother to him. Christian tradition attributes to him the fourth Gospel, three letters, and the Book of Revelation.
