Simon the Zealot
Simon the Zealot was one of the Twelve Apostles, set apart by the title that recalls his zeal for the law of God. The Gospels name him among those Jesus chose, though they record little about his particular deeds. He joined the apostles in prayer in the upper room after the Ascension.
