Anima Christi
The Anima Christi, meaning Soul of Christ, is a medieval prayer of intimate union with Jesus, especially treasured after receiving Holy Communion. It asks to be sanctified, healed, and hidden within the wounds of Christ. Long associated with St. Ignatius of Loyola, it remains a tender expression of total surrender to the Lord.
