Sub Tuum Praesidium

The Sub Tuum Praesidium, meaning We Fly to Thy Patronage, is among the oldest known prayers to the Virgin Mary, dating to the early centuries of the Church. It seeks her shelter and intercession in times of trouble and danger. Across more than fifteen hundred years, the faithful have run to her protection with these words.
