Eternal Rest

Eternal Rest, known in Latin as Requiem Aeternam, is a brief prayer asking God to grant peace and light to those who have died. Catholics pray it for departed loved ones, at funerals, and especially during November, the month dedicated to remembering the faithful departed. It expresses the Christian hope that death is not the end but a passage into the light of God.
