Good Shepherd

Good Shepherd is the image Jesus gives of himself as the one who knows his sheep, leads them to safety, and lays down his life for them. It draws on the ancient picture of God shepherding his people with tender care. This theme assures us that we are never lost to the One who seeks us out.
