Lamb of God
Lamb of God is the name John the Baptist gives Jesus, the one who takes away the sin of the world. It recalls the Passover lamb whose blood saved Israel, now fulfilled in Christ's sacrifice. This theme reveals that Jesus saves us by offering himself in innocent, redeeming love.
