James, Son of Alphaeus
James, the son of Alphaeus, is one of the Twelve Apostles listed in the Gospels, often called James the Less to distinguish him from James the son of Zebedee. Scripture records little about his life beyond his place among the chosen Twelve. He shared in the apostles' mission to proclaim the kingdom of God.
