Decapolis
The Decapolis, meaning the Ten Cities, was a league of largely Greek towns spread mostly east of the Jordan River and the Sea of Galilee. Its population was a mix of Gentiles and Jews, and crowds from this region followed Jesus during his Galilean ministry. It was here that the man freed from a legion of demons went and proclaimed throughout the cities what Jesus had done for him.
