Bethany

Bethany was a village near Jerusalem on the slope of the Mount of Olives. It was the home of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, friends whom Jesus loved and often visited. Here Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and from nearby he ascended into heaven.
