Solomon's Portico
Solomon's Portico was a covered colonnade running along the eastern edge of the Temple courts in Jerusalem, a sheltered place for gathering and teaching. Jesus walked there during the feast of the Dedication when the people pressed him to say plainly whether he was the Christ. After Pentecost the early believers met in this same portico, where Peter preached following the healing of a lame man.
